Today is #EnergyDay at #COP27 - a great opportunity to highlight the #PrePAREDproject - a unique & collaborative research project that helps ensure #offshorewind developments happen in the right place, in the right way & at the right pace and scale 🌬️🌊
Our Offshore Renewables team have had a busy week, contributing to the #PrePAREDProject Annual Knowledge Exchange Meeting. 🌊
An excellent opportunity to share research updates with stakeholders, and discuss how outputs will be used to support decision-making for offshore wind.
A post for World Poetry Day from our Lighthouse Poet in residence Genevieve Carver - “Offshore” edited and recorded in the Beatrice Offshore Windfarm during University of Aberdeen fieldwork for the #PrePAREDProject
Have an explore of the monthly blogs of the #PrePAREDProject , and find out what BioSS and our collaborators are up to. This important project is addressing critical knowledge gaps that currently are barriers to sustainable #OffshoreWind development.🌊

Kate Searle explains how #PrePAREDproject is delivering research on predator-prey interactions and changes in energetics & will improve understanding of cumulativ effects of offshore wind now and in the future to inform changes in policy
Today some of the #PreParedProject ECR were #CreatingConnections at this The Royal Society event in Edinburgh.
🗣️ A day full of fruitful and interesting conversations
✅ Bringing policy, industry and ECR from academia all in one place: what a great initiative!
3️⃣ @MarineScotland leads #PrePAREDproject , which focuses on regions of #Scotland and investigates how #seabirds , #MarineMammals , and #fish change their behaviour in response to #OffshoreWind development 🐟
The #PrePAREDProject investigates environmental impacts of offshore wind farm development and operation on predator (marine mammals and seabirds) and prey (fish) interactions.

Check out the new #PrePAREDProject from @marinescotland!
The project will be studying the impacts of #OffshoreWind on #seabirds , #marine mammals, and #fish . Their research will help build understanding on how #OffshoreWind and #MarineEcosystems can thrive together.
It feels like I've been travelling round Scotland this month, and I guess I have! 🚂🏴
Earlier this month, we had an excellent research retreat for the #PrePAREDProject , bringing together BioSS & University of Aberdeen. 🌊🐟
