So good to see a packed room for the #makaton for medics session at the #RCPCH22 conference. So important as paediatricians that we make every effort to communicate with CYP with learning difficulties. RCPCH thanks!

Today's the day for all things climate change at #RCPCH22 - we've got a workshop at 11.00, opportunity to meet the climate change working group over lunch at 12.45, plus come and play our exciting carbon footprint game in the wellbeing area all day long!

Eve aged 16 with autism asks us some really challenging questions on how we can support her rights better. On average a person with autism will live 16 years shorter. 70% of people with autism have mental health needs and 66% of adults have considered suicide. #rcpch22

Today I reapplied for my GMC licence.

#RCPCH22 has spurred me on.
Seeing passionate & dedicated paediatricians discussing child health.

And so the next chapter begins....

Leaving Liverpool and my heart feels so full. Paediatricians are the BEST. Such an inspiring and engaging three days at #RCPCH22 , yet again confirming I’m making the right career choice. Leila Ellis RCPCH 2023 to continue the tradition?! #paedsrocks
