Little Owl at Rodley Nature Reserve trying to ignore the magpies

The Flight Engineer in BBC’s The Pilots (1963) was Bob Leedham, seen in this clip advising Capt. Ernest Rodley.

He flew Stirlings for the RAF during WW2, before going on to a postwar career with BOAC.

Bob was still with us in 2019, celebrating his 97th birthday that year 👏🏻

Both female and male Blackcap this afternoon on the feeders in the garden (Rodley, Leeds) today. Far more common in summer, but nowadays increasingly found here in winter. Must remember to clean the windows 😳
