Today we had the pleasure of listening to a virtual talk from Harrie Oosterhuis about counterfactual learning to rank for search and recommendation. It was great to hear about some of his upcoming work that will also be presented this year at #sigir2023
Listened to an excellent keynote by Mark Najork, who provided a comprehensive overview of recent advances in generative IR approaches and their potential impact on the evolution of IR as a field as well as their effects on the broader web ecosystems #sigir2023 #MoreReading
Attending SIGIR and intrigued by generative models in IR & RecSys? Visit the #GenIR Workshop on 27th July. Craig Macdonald will showcase our work, 'Generative Sequential Recommendation with GPTRec', and answer any queries regarding our research.
