When Stephen Lawrence was murdered, I was involved in the Trade Union movement and his death had a profound impact on me. We began speaking and campaigning for a change in the law, which was to develop into a lifelong journey, career and fight against racism. #SLDay22

To mark #StephenLawrenceDay , we are hosting a poetry competition for our students on the theme 'Exceeding Expectations'.

The deadline for submissions is 22 April, and the winner will be announced by special guest Mina Smallman at Formal Hall on 6 May.
