The only reason Trudeau won’t withhold the carbon tax rebates in Saskatchewan is because he knows it will receive major backlash. When Trudeau does or doesn’t do things it’s always for his benefit, always.

I think everyone is missing the bigger point here. Trudeau threatened Saskatchewan by saying the CRA was going to investigate them and lo and behold they now are. Is Trudeau using the tax department as his own personal intimidation force? Libranos indeed.

The CRA will be auditing Saskatchewan’s books for not remitting the carbon tax to the feds on home heating. The province’s minister for crown corporations says he’s not worried about it.
