They decorate themselves with algea (seaweed) and sponges - this one has chosen a red seaweed.

Highlights yesterday at Minehead with Somerset Shoresearch. Common Sunstar, Common Hermit Crab, Long-clawed Porcelain Crab, Sea Mouse.

This morning the team joined ExploreSeaScapes & DurhamWildlifeTrust to explore some rock pools at Seaham beach. This is part of a national citizen science project called Shoresearch which is carried out by Wildlife Trusts across the UK 🦀🪸

One of several tiny anemone (initially thought fan worm, but with massive crop...) found by group in the silt near Minster, Sheppey yesterday. About 0.5 cm with tentacles exposed. This the most colorful, most brown. Very responsive to touch!
