Irish artist and writer Edith Somerville was born in Corfu #onthisday in 1858.
She later trained in London and Paris (at the 'ladylike' Académie Colarossi and Académie Delécluse), before going on to form the writing partnership 'Somerville & Ross' with her cousin Violet Martin.
Preparations are under way for a physical display of the 'In the State of Denmark' illustrations from the #SomervilleandRoss collection.
It's all so good we have no idea what to leave out!
