Canadian Master Artist Roy Henry Vickers is best known around the world for his limited edition prints. He is also an accomplished carver, design advisor of prestigious public spaces, a sought-after keynote speaker. He is a recognized leader in the First Nations community.

This Guardian of the Gildas Totem Pole was created by Kwakwaka'wakw carver Junior Henderson. The carving depicts the Thunderbird with the Orca crest carved into the chest and wings. The Thunderbird stands atop an enclosed box with a Sisuitl carved into it.

Argillite carving is a cherished tradition among the Haida people of the Pacific Northwest Coast. The black slate rock, known as 'kwawhlahl' in the Haida language, is found exclusively on Graham Island in the Haida Gwaii archipelago.
