OTD in 1788, a wild electrical storm and heavy rains lash the coast, stalling the French and British ships for two days. The BOUSSOLE and ASTROLABE are outside #BotanyBay , trying to get in. The #FirstFleet is inside Botany Bay, trying to get out and around to #SydneyCove .
