We are celebrating #BlackHistoryMonth and all our pupils enjoy the diverse titles in our library. However, we believe that Black History should be taught all year throughout the curriculum, just like books are for reading all year too. #TBH365 #blackhistoryisbritishhistory

A shameful, but unsurprising response from the government. I remember learning about Henry VIII THREE years in a row at primary school, and then AGAIN at secondary school, but god forbid we make even a fraction of Black history a mandatory part of everyone's education. #tbh365

It's #BlackHistoryMonth . Today we remember #MosesRoper , who escaped slavery in the US after suffering horrendous violence. In the 1840s he toured his influential Narrative in the UK, including #Lincolnshire ; educating audiences in Lincoln, Gainsborough, Louth & Brigg. #TBH365
