Loving #TheLido , my holiday read. I love that I spotted an outdoor lido in Westward Ho! and swam in another too. I'm at the point where I'm nearly finished and I don't want it to end because it is so lovely.

The templates are great, particularly the alps, punch bowl & redan. The scope and size of this place is so much bigger than other Raynor or Raynor-esque courses I’ve played. My amateurish pics don’t begin to capture it. 5/7 #TheLido

It is natural to compare the Lido with Chicago GC, a roughly contemporaneous CBM/Raynor course I played last month. There are many similarities, including the templates, the distinctive shaping, and how you can see the entire course around you most of the time. 6/7 #TheLido

Love our community lido full of different age groups and body types! Just like the characters in the novel which I recommended to my friend as we did our casual breaststroke while nattering 🏊‍♀️

The fairways have huge ridges and mounding, with deep bunkering and the most dramatic cross hazards I’ve ever seen. There is nothing subtle here. 2/7 #TheLido

Balls that reach the sand waste areas on the edges of the property can nonetheless be played with a decent chance of getting back in position. As a result, the course feels more fair and more fun than many other resort courses. 4/7 #TheLido

The greens are large and have bold contours, some false fronts and are surrounded by deep bunkers with sloped edges. Most have several discrete areas where they can be pinned. They played fast but I have to think they will get even faster with time and care. 3/7 #TheLido
