MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) — A former Memphis police officer pleaded guilty Thursday in the fatal beating of #TyreNichols in exchange for prosecutors recommending a 15-year sentence, becoming the first of five officers charged in the case to admit guilt.

Yesterday I joined the families of #RonaldGreene and #TyreNichols to call for federal civil rights charges to be filed against the officers involved in Ronald’s fatal 2019 arrest. It’s been 4 years since his death — Ronald Greene and his family deserve justice and accountability!
