The #UnderThePole IV – Deeplife expeditions begin today with a polar mission to the Svalbard archipelago. By furthering our knowledge of how the oceans, biodiversity and climate are closely linked, this exploration programme is an integral part of our #PerpetualPlanet initiative.

As part of the DEEPLIFE project focused on oceans knowledge, Ghislain Bardout and Emmanuelle Périé-Bardout led an #UnderThePole expedition into Svalbard’s icy waters in search of mysterious ecosystems called marine animal forests. More on bit.ly/UTP_Svalbard_1 #PerpetualPlanet
