Another throwback from Schmidt Ocean dive 377(Malay Reef in the Coral Sea Marine Park, around 400 km southeast of Cairns). We came upon this huge nudibranch called Spanish Dancer while exploring the shallows, & it was even pooping! Such vibrant colors. #VisioningCoralSea

1 year ago today Schmidt Ocean #VisioningCoralSea expedition recorded high quality footage of this Hollardia goslinei, a species that until now was known only from Hawai’i! This data point in Australia’s Coral Sea extends its range by over 8,000 kilometres! #MesophoticScience
