The Global Framework on Water Scarcity in Agriculture #WASAG , hosted by Food and Agriculture Organization with over 75 partners, aims to address water scarcity through concrete actions in areas such as SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURAL WATER USE to increase agricultural production and water use efficiency.

The use of multiple water sources for irrigation, including desalinated water, & the adoption of salt-tolerant crops are emerging practices to increase the resilience of rural communities to the impacts soil and water salinization.
