My #Walktober journey took me to all 24 of Maryland’s jurisdictions, from Appalachia to the Atlantic.

Ours is a beautiful state—get out and see more of it!

Tomorrow, I’ll be leading the “Walk Across Maryland” hike from the Pennsylvania state line into the Town of Hancock, to promote the health benefits of outdoor exercise during Walktober!

We are a nation of walkers.

Most of us walk every day and, for many, life would be difficult without a daily stroll.

But too often, walkers feel under attack.

That changes today with a month long challenge to improve everyone’s health and well-being #Walktober
