Tour of Commonwealth War Graves Plot at West Road Newcastle done! Wonderfully enthusiastic group out to learn about the Commission, and who they can find on their doorstep.

Plenty of praise for CWGC staff, and the continued work of the Commission.

Building remembrance. The pier below Walker's Ridge in the Anzac sector, used by the commission to land stone used for cemeteries in the area. Commission workers hard at it during a visit from Royal Navy types circa 1922.

Well Commonwealth War Graves’s first ever is done & dusted. A lot of hard work to get it off the ground & it’s been really pleasing to see how all elements have been so well engaged with. On the digital side we tried a new way of broadcasting & we hope you enjoyed what we delivered.

For I'd like you to remember my great uncle, Herbert Crook, RAMC. He was just a kid, has no known grave, but is remembered by Commonwealth War Graves on the Basra Memorial, Iraq. 1/2.
