Last night, with Ruth, Jayne, Jess, John & Vaughan I heard directly from steelworkers about the uncertainty they face, and how the govt’s destruction of our steel industry will damage the UK. This cannot be allowed to happen.

Labour has committed to the future of UK steel, this Gov’s plan is the wrong deal.

Earlier today, the Business Secretary essentially said that job losses at Tata don’t matter.
I spoke to steelworkers from Llanwern and Community Union members today ahead of the Newport County game and they had a very different view of things.

I’m sorry, but this government’s lack of ambition for our steel industry is just disgraceful.
Thousands of job losses in Wales, including potentially hundreds at Llanwern is not an inevitability.
