Shivaani Mariapun - why study MD? - to provide information in the under studied Asian population. #WhyMD2022
John Hopper - why study MD? Digital mammography and AI have changed our ability to assess MD and understanding risk. MD makes it hard to find cancers. Can we work out how to find the masked cancers #WhyMD2022
Grateful for the opportunity to present preliminary findings from my SPHeRE international placement with Valerie McCormack IARC on the associations between reproductive factors and breast density at #WhyMD2022 EMERGE Maeve Mullooly RCSI School of Population Health

Great educational opportunity at #WhyMD2022 continues with patient education opportunity on #WorldDenseBreastDay ! We most appreciate all engaged voices on the topic #DenseBreasts .
Mammographic density (MD) is linked to higher risk to #breastcancer , our work focuses on genetic factors associated with MD in a multi-ethnic cohort of ~2,500 Asian women. To date, it is the ONLY genome-wide association study of MD conducted in Asian women. #WhyMD2022
We r proud to be a part of #WhyMD2022 conference, which aims to share new research & knowledge concerning mammographic density, a strong and heritable risk factor for #breastcancer .
