A beautiful book that I had to read in small doses, my favourite from this year's Women's Prize so far by far. A challenging portrayal of the early years of parenthood, which took me back to some of my own dark moments. Absolutely stunning writing.

Some fascinating novels on this year's Women's Prize shortlist. I've read two & have just ordered the other four.
My favourite winners over the years include Larry's Party, Half of a Yellow Sun, The Road Home, and The Song of Achilles.

A visceral and painfully frank account of motherhood, this is a beautiful novel with overarching themes of gender inequality and identity. Given I'm not a mother, I was surprised how relatable it was. I can absolutely see why it was shortlisted for the Women's Prize

I'm not a photographer but I am an eclectic reader & no one satisfies more than Bert’s Books! Includes Women's Prize & the new Marian Keyes, so I can test it's mammy-safe before she visits me in heathen country on Friday. And a tote - can't wait to start spotting these in the wild

Thrilled with this shortlist, and very pleased to have picked five out of six, which is my Personal Best for shortlist predictions.
All are potentially worthy winners, but I am rooting for Brotherless Night, the book which I am most grateful to Women's Prize for introducing me to!
