Meet the #DagenhamIdol for #Woodensday , a wooden effigy that was discovered in 1922 in the Coles Brook, a small stream that runs behind Asda supermarket in Dagenham, Essex. Thought to be a votive offering to guarantee a fertile, bountiful harvest, it dates to around 2250BC.
