It's been nearly a year since human rights lawyer #YuWensheng and his wife #XuYan were arrested by Chinese authorities. Their 19-year-old son, Yu Zhenyang, has suffered greatly, dropping out of high school and attempting suicide twice due to the trauma of his parents' suppression

.@Xuyan709 & her son are waiting for #YuWensheng to come home on 1 March.

He was imprisoned solely for exercising his right to #freedomofexpression .

The Chinese govt must release Yu on time & ensure that he and his family will not be subjected to surveillance and intimidation.

One year ago, #YuWensheng and his wife #XuYan were detained for their rights advocacy. Since then, their son reportedly attempted suicide, demonstrating the human cost of standing up to a repressive regime. They should be unconditionally released, say China Commission Chairs.
