When developing with my BC Docker container, which is re-created daily, .app files pile up in the .alpackages folder.

Is there a way to automatically clean these up?

Using AL Explorer? Be careful if you update the symbols in .alpackages since AL Explorer seems to not update when manual changes are done or when using AL: Download Symbols. v13.0.921843. Issue is created.

Reading through recently published AL repositories: please be aware that if you don't provide a suitable .gitignore file (atlassian.com/git/tutorials/…) most likely everything will be committed even the symbols (.alpackages). See github.com/microsoft/AL-G… for an example.

David Machanick If it is upgraded, make sure you have the symbol Microsoft_System_22.0.60117.0.app in the .alPackages folder. I have seen that if not properly upgraded this won't be downloaded which leads to that the debugger doesn't work. You can copy it from a docker of same version.

Morten Rasmussen ALOps We automatically store the latest previous .app file from appsourcecop under .alpackages folder (only this app) as part of the release process. No need for developers to manually copy.

Stefan Maroń Did you may have changed Access Modifier in your main app? Have you tried deleting all symbols from the .alpackages folder and download them again?
