There's a badger sett not too far from my place. I might pop by and whisper 'I love you'🦡 💚

We never reveal locations and we never disturb them 🤫

Two cubs squaring up, puffing up to look big, stretching those legs as far as they will go. The nearest cub body ripples and sends out something that thankfully missed me then the other cub ripples in response and third cub simply walks between them.

An adventurous cub out in the dark (under infrared light) exploring the badger sett before heading back down to rest those wobbly little legs.

Half moon, low in the sky, casts a golden glow onto transparent cloud. Colour has gone from the landscape, textured ploughed fields are bordered by dark hedges.
Deer lay low out of the wind, a hare reaches tall to listen & a fox walks between the badgers I follow.

This is early in the season but two cubs are now emerging for a few minutes to explore the sett entrance, one needing a little more help than the other.

Mary Barton (Betty Badger) speaking outside Oxford Biology Dept on why she has stood outside DEFRA every Thursday for 6 years.

Badgers are STILL being killed.

Check out what George Eustace said to her once. It's rather telling.

An extra cautious emerging from the sett the day after fox hunters had been through. The second badger, probably a pregnant sow, came to the entrance later on but decided to stay inside. monday
