Marine biologists who study them are fairly sure porpoises (dolphins) perform this kind of stunning behavior not only to get a decent out-of-water look at humans, but also because they know humans get a kick out of it.

Also, orcas (killer whales) are porpoises, FYI. 🙃

I still find it funny that from 2012 Jotaro would be added and removed from the Wikipedia’s list of marine biologists 😭 like they ended up having to make a separate note to tell us to stfu 🤦‍♀️
