OTD 1994 the Boomtown Hotel & Casino opened 3 miles south of the Strip. It was advertised as a 'fully-themed mining town' featuring 'a 300-room hotel, a 500-space deluxe RV park, and a 600-seat dinner theatre showroom.' It's now Silverton Casino
