Diverse Alzheimers It helps younger members of a family to be told about what may be happening to a grandparent or parent, even if they won't comprehend all of it but feel confused about changes in behaviour. Not to tell them could make them think they have done something wrong

Diverse Alzheimers Listening to children who are concerned about an experience with a person living with dementia is essential. Children are very adaptable but if something is bothering them, it may just need a simple explanation.

Diverse Alzheimers Everyone is different. Listen, watch and feel how the person is doing with the move. Lots of prep and planning prior to the move. Less anxiety and stress the better.

Diverse Alzheimers Could ask why they don’t want to know? They may not know it can affect anyone, Young or old, any background, ability, race, creed, colour. By 2025 in the uk alone it’s estimated there will be one million people living with dementia. Ignoring it won’t make it go away. @diversealz
