From this afternoon on a long walk from the Lighthouse Garden to the top of the Long Pits & back, at least 2 Spotted Flycatchers, also during a day of year ticks I had Melodious Warbler, Garden Warbler & Serin, plus my first singing Dungeness Nightingale (at last).

On Haida Gwaii and many spots along BC’s coast, the invasive European Green Crab have infiltrated the waters.
Today we work to remove them. Here is the Copper river a valuable food source for us on the Gwaii. It is home to Sockeye, Coho, Chum, Steelhead, clams & Dungeness πŸ¦€
