A long time working on this one

It's on canon & context creation & writing hagiography in

& how we might go about creating an (anti)hagiographical canon for all who don't quite fit,out in the margins & maybe go for wearing ties

Contemporary sources are always messy, here is one-a biographical hagiography of the founder of the Madhva Sect Sri Madhvacharya, heaping praises on the contemporary Sultan of Delhi who must have belonged to either Mamluks or Khaljis.

This kind of hagiography for a player who peaked last year and is at best a 4th line plug is utterly baffling. But, sure, let's waste cap space and a roster spot on a guy who was dogshit this year and made his linemates worse in every way.

Whenever I hear 'Greatest Generation' hagiography, I think of those who served in places like NS Argentia in Newfoundland. How would it feel to identify as a WW2 vet after Brokaw, knowing people immediately visualize you at Omaha, in an 8th AF bomber stream, or fighting kamikaze?
