With shelter & seating at bus stops being essential to encourage #activetravel it's difficult to #makeWayDay when Transport for Ireland install 2 standalone seats like these at Knockrobin, Co. Wicklow which are a hazard for #blind pedestrians as they overhang. Just go with bus shelters.
The original surface mounted tactile guidance paving from 2007 for #blind pedestrians on Prospect & Whitworth Road, Dublin 9 had deteriorated & was replaced by Dublin City Council in summer 2022. With many tiles now missing, it is difficult to #makeWayDay #ActiveTravel #MakeWayDay23
It's difficult for #blind pedestrians to #MakeWayDay23 when life is a daily obstacle course trying to avoid injury from collisions with An Roinn Iompair - Department of Transport funded #ActiveTravel cycle parking stands, many which are located near bus stops & pedestrian crossings. #makeWayDay 1/2
