The celeb mental health tell-all is one of the grosser genres of end-stage American narcissism. That we’re meant to pretend such memoirs are “brave” efforts to “raise awareness” is grosser still. When the cash-grabbing memoirist is a clownish war-monger it’s especially insulting.
