John Pavlovitz This Dove is new to me this year. I received her recently from Hospice. They cared for my dad through his transition. He passed the day before Thanksgiving after fighting cancer all year. He wasn't ready to go, and we weren't ready for him to go either.

John Pavlovitz My husband makes me an ornament every year for our anniversary (Dec. 26) out of the material for that year. 2 years ago was china and platinum. It’s a throw back to the 1st ornament he made in this same style out of paper. #mychristmasornament

John Pavlovitz Every ornament on our tree has a special meaning behind it. There are no 'generic' ornaments. About half of them are homemade by family members. An extra special one is the one we received after my mom died and was a cornea donor.
