Centre for Research Collections excellent visit to the CRC archives this week. Saw this exquisite drawing by J. J. Wild of dredge used on HMS Challenger 1872-76.

The expedition dredged coral from 2,900 fathoms (approx 5300 meters) at Station 234 in the W. Pacific. ISDSC8 ICHO (also @ histocean.bsky.social)
