The dismantling of the trap officially marks the end of the season on #RamMountain . The #EwenionTrappers are out! Fun productive season. Anxious to take a closer look at all that data.
Today vs the day we arrived at #RamMountain , pictures don’t even fully capture just how bad the smoke is
Sunsets on #RamMountain can be incredible! This is just one of the perks of #fieldwork in the mountains.

While looking at my field photos for our lab website, I stumbled upon this heartwarming video from my first summer on Ram Mt. ⛰️🎥 This lamb's adorable encounter with my backpack is a reminder of why I love doing fieldwork so much🌿! #RamMountain #WildlifeEncounters #BighornSheep
I would never have thought that, one day, I'd bring sushis as lunch on the mountain. I guess there's a first for everything!
Here is Yanny enjoying our veggie sushis moments before it started to rain 😂

You never know when they’re gonna show up... These three large males came by late last night. Last release was at 23:45. Had to use head lamps. #NightShift #RamMountain #EwenionTrappers
As the wind blows in from the west, it brings with it wildfire smoke. Visibility and air quality have decreased substantially since yesterday and throughout today, forcing us to cut the day short. The air smells like smoke.

Here is V11 silhouetted against the evening sky. V11 is a three-year-old female who sadly skipped reproduction this season. Hopefully, she will be primiparous and contribute to population growth next year!
