I finallyyy captured a photo of this incredible female wearing a transmitter (Cellular Tracking Technologies) that we deployed a year ago! She took a break from incubating today and gave us an aerial show in ultra high winds 🥹 I love her.

What an honor to speak about and share #RaptorBiology & Boise State Biology #RaptorResearch with these brilliant young girls and future scientists! Thank you for the opportunity Cox Science Center and Aquarium to connect with GEMS in my hometown! ❤️ #Science #STEM #WomenInSTEM

Quite the inner thigh workout this girl gave me with 3 miles downhill with 3 bags!! Always love riding horses! #womeninraptorresearch #raptorresearch

Going through nest cameras and found this gem. A young red-tailed hawk (right side of the frames) tried to grab a Swainson's Hawk nestling for an easy meal. Dad comes in to save the day - cue surprised red-tail. #raptorresearch

I can’t believe the 2022 season has come to an end. It’s bittersweet 💗 We successfully deployed 10 new transmitters this year! We covered all 81 miles of canyon at the NCA and used two very different methods. 🧵

It’s hard to believe our first #NorthernHarrier winter trapping effort was four years ago this month. Pre-baby. Pre-COVID. I probably complained then, but I miss those long field days now 😢 #raptorresearch
