This fab male Bluethroat performed admirably early afternoon at the Spanish Battery, Tynemouth. They’ve become a bit of a rarity these days locally, so it proved a great find by Duncan Watson .

Very much back to normality on the Tynemouth patch today with the bluethroat having gone and yesterday's frame-fillers replaced with distant record shots once again. Not too bad though with a little egret south, 2 sedge warblers (scarce here) and the return of the Iceland gull.
