After rescuing 36 people from distress at sea this morning, #MareGo was assigned to the port of Trapani, Italy - a minimum of 32 hours away.
We clearly communicated to the authorities that #MareGo is not equipped to treat the rescued people on the move for that period of time

We are aware of how lucky we are to be born with western privileges.We don't feel guilty but we also believe we don't deserve it.Therefore we decided to use our privileges to reduce loss of life at sea. Today our vessel #MareGo left the port of #LMP towards #TN corridor.

The MARE*GO is on its way towards Tunesia to save lives. Thank you for continuing the engagement for #HumanRights and #FreedomOfMovement with this ship!

We were alerted to the distress of ~50 people on a boat with a broken engine. We informed ΛΙΜΕΝΙΚΟ ΣΩΜΑ who told us that they are conducting a rescue. We hope everyone on board will be brought to safety in Greece soon.
