Maciej And I don’t see any coverage of pro Israel protestors harassing pro Palestinian protestors, wishing rape on people, spraying them with fart spray, or cheering on the police. All of this has happened and none of it gets talked about. It’s sickening

It's just super weird because the right wing position is actually more consistent with the facts of what would likely happen under another trump presidency, while the left is just completely delusional about what Biden is actually doing.

wallaceshawnfan69 Alex Cranberg Andrew Lawrence Not accusing you of anything, 'curb stomping' came from OP, but I would be happy to find any examples of police brutality.

So far personally I've found one instance of a cop kneeing someone in the ribs but that's about it. Just trying to engage in good faith here.

Swann Marcus We must reclaim Hegel's historical dialectic from the Marxists, I'm fairly certain that's where this 'right side of history' idea comes from.

Fortunately we already have a liberal political philosopher who did this

Maciej Enhanced Interrogated Poet Wade (in Tarnation) Once the cops used their cranes to get into the second floor, that was that.

The story should now turn to why over half of the protest leaders who've been arrested, in every single case, have all been people who aren't students or faculty. Who's behind them?

steven monacelli A self-congratulatory article from a college about a rather generous pat on the back from Mandela does not a quantitative analysis make.

Even a source as left as NPR is skeptical of this strategy.

Maciej John Aziz The 'issue' was that the 'disability sufferer' was deliberately trying to exclude others from a common space, and his/her defenders are weaponizing this in order to pretend that people dancing and eating bananas *outdoors* are a threat.

Don't exclude others from common spaces.

They successfully brought divestment a vote and they celebrate, agreeing to take down the encampments.

October comes, the board votes 'no', and nothing changes. Great job kids. Well done. You saved the city!

Maciej John Aziz Why, the whole thing was absurd.

They were outdoors, not an enclosed space - where's the risk?

They were deliberately excluding others from a common space to which they have an equal right. Don't do that.

The 'banana waivers' were dancing to music and having fun.

Civil rights movements directly targeted unjust laws through civil disobedience, the Vietnam protests directly targeted the draft through civil disobedience, and Nelson Mandela directly targeted apartheid laws through civil disobedience.
