Also being launched at our ‘outside(R) zine fest supper club with a difference’ on 1st March 2024 at The Pod Cafe, is the 1st zine by artist Jasmine Moreton (Jazz). “ ‘Auntie Jazz’s Stroke’ started as an idea formed at a Politics and Pakora zine-making event at the Pod

It uses Jasmine Moreton’s lived experience of life as she experiences it now- eighteen years after surviving a stroke in childhood- to explain some of her lasting disabilities caused by stroke in an easily understandable way.

Thrilled that long-standing collaborator, artist and mental health activist Lizz Brady of Broken Grey Wires will be joining us at the Zine fest, and her partner, artist Roxy Obscura will be making and selling badges.

Always so wonderful to collaborate with Tarla Patel an amazing practitioner. We have a few places left tomorrow email [email protected] if you want to come along. And Tarla is right, the food is fab.

Just a reminder that the cafe is closed next week (half term) but are still working around our core work and zine workshops for which there are still a few placed available but must be booked in advance. Normal service resumes week beginning 19th Feb. Sorry for any inconvenience.
