The death count for women in the federal bureau of prisons this WEEK is 4 women. ITS ONLY WEDNESDAY. We’re not going to step back on ending incarceration of women and girls. Not in the feds. Not in the state(s). Prisons are causing more harm than they are repairing.

yet again another day as formerly incarcerated women, experts and scholars of this work, once again have to speak to administrations occupied and led by white women with no experience other than that…and the privilege of their formal education.

How does a new MA democratic women led gubernatorial administration maintain a past republican governor’s ideology about incarceration of women that supports a $50M+ new women’s prison, doesn’t include decarceration first, and never granted clemency to any woman…in place?
