Willie Mullins opened his doors to the media this morning to go through his contenders for the Punchestown Festival. I've split them up into bumper horses and juvenile/novice hurdlers (attheraces.com/stable-tours/w…) and novice chasers/open-class horses (attheraces.com/stable-tours/w…).

Willie Mullins is closing in on possibly his biggest milestone yet. He is within weeks of overtaking Dermot Weld as the winning-most trainer in Irish racing history.

At the minute, the global all-code tallies are:

Dermot Weld: 4374
Willie Mullins: 4358

First 4 home in the National were Grade 1 winning chasers.

Always treat post-Cheltenham form with caution but I suspect the Arkle form will prove stronger, albeit plenty from both should improve up in trip
