When I started my PhD in 2005, IES funded experimental & quasi-experimental research only.

17 years later, they’ve invested in our mixed-method study, with a significant qualitative component.

The times are changing. It’s exciting.

Real joy: seeing my favorite former Ford School students become my own academic peers and role models.

Such a treat to see Dr. Demar Lewis IV as he starts his final year of his PhD Af-Am Studies Yale Sociology! Follow him and his game-changing work.

I can’t find the words to say how grateful I am for this, and for everyone who’s carried me the entire way.

I hope that soon I’ll be able to express myself more eloquently, to each of you.

But for now - happy tears, and endless, endless thanks.
