Thank you Charles Spicer! It was great fun talking with Professor Buzzkill History Podcast about the awful meme and fascinating women.
My podcast debut! Listen as I talk with Professor Buzzkill about the misogynist 'Princess Qajar' meme that I first wrote about in 2017 and the fascinating real women behind it. #womenshistory #fakehistory #qajar
Something I wrote more than 5 years ago but remains as relevant as ever: 'Helen Keller on Fake News and Social Blindness.' #criticalthinking #socialblindness #helenkeller #womenshistory

Abraham Goldman (b. 1904) worked as a dentist in the refugee camp in Öreryd, Sweden but struggled to recover from the Nazi atrocities & was fearful of returning to his native Poland. He took his own life on June 20, 1946 in Öreryd. May his memory be a blessing. #weremember
Another big day for the #CounterfeitCountess : Publication Day in the UK, the Republic of Ireland and the Commonwealth by John Blake Books an imprint of Bonnier Books UK. Grateful to the publishing house Team for all the fantastic work. #newbook #Holocaust
'Qajar', 2002, a series of studio-photographs by Iranian photographer Shadi Ghadirian inspired by portrait photos from the Qajar period #WomensArt
Publication day is always exciting but today's publication of this very special issue is especially so. Through a collaborative process we've created an interactive & ongoing dialogical outcome inspired in part by Janneke Adema (@[email protected]) & supported by COMPASS Hub and Tema Q .
Bloggnytt! Victoria Van Orden Martínez, Ph.D. om avhandlingen 'Afterlives':
Afterlives counters narratives of Polish survivors of Nazi persecution in Sweden who, due to gender, nationality, political status, etc, have been dismissed as passive and non-political figures.

A friend/colleague just sent me this photo of me talking about my research at #BeyondCamps2023 and it makes me happy. Happy that I love my research and that I have wonderful places to talk about it and learn about others' research, and so many amazing colleagues around the world.
Women played important but often overlooked roles in Holocaust documentation.
I write about one on the EHRI Document Blog (EHRI project) - Documenting the Documenter: Piecing together the history of Polish Holocaust survivor-historian Luba Melchior blog.ehri-project.eu/2022/12/12/lub…
Feeling like a very fortunate person right now. My research is not always the easiest, but I get to do it in the company of amazing people like Dr Christine Schmidt and the organizers and attendees at conferences like this. Then it all gets summarized in such a beautiful way.
What a fantastic first day. Thank you to the organizers, other presenters and, of course, Dr Christine Schmidt , who has been amazing to work with. And Day 2 got off to a great start with an archive tour!
