The Duke of Roxburghe announced a £51,250 Fallago Environment Fund grant to help BorderUnion deliver its fantastic Schools Countryside Day over the next 5 years. This annual event teaches #ScottishBorders P5 pupils about the environment, #farming , food & rural life.
The Fallago Environment Fund has awarded a £50k grant to Destination Tweed UK’s Designed Landscapes project to help plant landscape trees that will be visible to users of the new River Tweed Trail & provide many environmental benefits #destinationtweeduk
We've been overseeing Phase 4 of peatland restoration works at Wemyss & March Estate. Over 20,000 metres of peat hag have been re-profiled along with peat bunding works to manage water flow.
This project is supported by the Peatland Action fund.

Meet the Projects - Reviving the Wild Heart of Southern Scotland 💚
Delivered by Borders Forest Trust, a landscape scale ecological restoration initiative to restore a mosaic of natural habitats. Through Destination Tweed, 52,500 trees and shrubs will be planted by volunteers.
Meet the Projects - Pollinators Along the Tweed 🐝
Pollinators Along the Tweed is a partnership project with BuglifeScotland set to restore wildflower-rich habitat along the #RiverTweed as part of the #Destinationtweeduk source-to-sea river revitalisation project.
We’re delighted with this river and wetland restoration work on the upper Breamish with Linhope Estate and Dynamic Rivers. We always strive to get the biggest catchment benefits using the most cost-effective approach, and this is a great example!
Trees are the magnificent backdrop to many of our outdoor adventures so this #NationalTreeWeek we are celebrating the native woodland and designed landscapes of the River Tweed and our projects which aim to conserve and protect these environments.
