on the slopes was 1 of 4 in the area & our 1st for year, we also had our 1st Greenshank & H. Martins. A local resident saw and photographed a male Common Redstart in their Garden yesterday. KOS

If you've lived on the coast, none of what this article says is particularly shocking. After the wettest 18 months on record, you would think that a hosepipe ban is out of the question but perhaps we'll learn our lessons once someone inevitably dies from ingesting poisonous

NEWS: The number of sewage spills in England last year jumped by 54-percent with 118 spills in Swalecliffe alone.

Water bosses have placed some of the blame on wet weather but Sally Burtt-Jones, from campaign group SOS Whitstable, told there's no excuse

Swalecliffe. The Spring migration seems to have stalled. With Long-tailied Duck and Red-throated Divers on the sea giving it more of an end of Winter feel. Had some good views of a couple of our local Raptors today
