Rightio, so among many other things, Good Reading Magazine and I are restarting our fun 'GReat Debate' author features that we ran semi-regularly in 2021-2022. Two terrific authors 'facing off' as they share different approaches to storytelling. What future topics would you like to see?

And then there were two! is out now. Huge thanks to our 40 amazing contributors across our first two volumes; a cool array of Aussie & Kiwi storytellers (crime novelists, genre-blenders, short story specialists, etc). Wouldn't they look great on your shelf?!

Black tops + camera flashes = unexpected transparency! 📸 😲
Black tops turn see-through under flash photography revealing your underwear! Combat the effect by wearing a dark undergarment to avoid this wardrobe malfunction.

Forensic Tip of the Day: The cause of death is the event that led to death. The mechanism of death is the literal biological failure that resulted in death. For example, the cause of death is the gunshot wound, while the mechanism of death is bleeding out.

Forensic Tip of the Day: A bog body is a preserved corpse w/minimal decomposition due to a biochemical reaction of bodies found in bogs (it's similar to pickling). This preservation is VERY different than (although often confused with) natural mummification.
