Why research ‘client expectations of therapy’?

If there is limited choice, then client ‘expectations’ of a specific therapy merely describe an ill-informed prediction of mediocrity

Ask instead what people prefer, want, hope for, wish could be the case, embody what they need!

Control of time & resources (perceptual)

At the bounds of negative feedback is positive feedback

Human creative talent is wasted on perceptual wraiths that do not replenish but distract us from Knowing

Autonomy is essential for wellbeing

But so is Connectedness

Our world that is fundamentally physically, biologically & socially connected

Individual freedom can only take you so far

& unless coupled with awareness, can undermine the connections that keep each one of us alive

many asked me about our preprint on dopamine. Short answer: we've been doing more experiments/analysis and revising it for publication. Almost done. It'll be bigger and, I hope, better. Some also asked me how the field is reacting to these results.

It is conflict between two negative feedback loops with different goal states for the same variable

Wonderful to see this new US research team expanding in detail upon Powers’ levels of perception as they relate to vision. Helpful diagrams and clear explanation of the theory, although more detail on the dynamic counteraction of unpredictable disturbances to control input needed
