Attended the Launch of Waterways Ireland 10 Year Plan this week. This plan seeks to deliver on the enhancement, restoration and conservation of Ireland’s waterways, greenways and blueways.

The old Grand Canal Hotel at Robertstown in 1966 and in 2023 is this week’s #ThenAndNow . Built in 1801, it catered to canal passengers and trade before closing in 1849. Today this iconic building serves as a reminder of its rich canal heritage.
