Named in recognition of '74 HBA graduate and artist, the John A. Schweitzer gallery hosts a combination of temporary and permanent exhibits from the Archives’ holdings and guest exhibits from the University and community. Hours of operation are Mon-Thurs from 10am-4pm.

Happy birthday to Robert Frost! Here is a c. 1916 edition of “Mountain Interval” from our rare books collection. This features “The Road Not Taken”, though it's unfortunately missing from our copy. Today we honour Robert Frost’s influence and contributions to the literary world!

Leading up to the upcoming 20th Anniversary of the ARCC, we will be sharing several posts of the unique elements of our space! Here is some footage of our High-Density Module over the years. Our HDM features 9301 square ft of storage space and can hold up to 1.5 million items.

Welcome to Emily who is our Faculty of Information & Media Studies (FIMS) co-op student. Emily is developing a plan to preserve Western’s electronic theses and dissertations, working on digitization of AV records and assisting with conservation of special formats. Emily will be with us for the next 8 months!

We exhibited some never-before-seen new acquisitions from 2023 including archival items related to No.10 Stationary Hospital, war diaries, Wright Bros Orchestra as well as maps and rare books

It is National Winnie the Pooh Day! On this day in 1882, author A.A. Milne was born-- today we thank him for creating such lovable characters. In celebration, we pulled Milne’s 1928 “The House at Pooh Corner” from our rare books collection at ASC.
